Become a Texas Parks and Wildlife Certified Angler Education Instructor
This free workshop is open to anyone 18 or older interested in teaching fishing skills in their communities. The program provides the curriculum, equipment (where available), materials and support to help volunteers successfully introduce youth and their families to fishing. Ideal for teachers, scout or youth group leaders, afterschool or camp staff and community volunteers. TEA-approved CPE available for teachers. Participants should wear comfortable clothing for outdoor activities.
Pre-registration is required BEFORE the workshop:
Step 1: Use your phone, iPad or computer to register for the TPWD “Angler Education Instructor Training Pending – statewide” Opportunity at https://bit.ly/2TE6UOB
Step 2: Select the "Schedule" tab at the top, then find the workshop by date and location you want to attend and select the blue Sign-Up button.
For new TPWD volunteers: click on the blue “Apply to become a volunteer” link at the bottom and follow the prompts to create a volunteer profile.
Please remember to authorize and complete the Criminal Background Check section. All fields must be completed including your date of birth and Driver’s License number.
For current TPWD volunteers: Enter your TPWD User ID and password and click on the blue “Log In” button
