Join us for a night hike illuminated by the moon!

Leaving from the Pavilion at 8pm. On this hike, we will hike up Bridges trail to Painted Rock overlook to watch the moon-rise and observe the moon.  

Distance: 1 mile 

Duration: 1.5-2 hours 

Difficulty: this trail is challenging and even more challenging at night

Bring:

• Flashlight (preferably with a red lens)
• Drinking water
• Walking shoes
• Dress for the weather
• Binoculars

Texas State Parks has a NEW reservation system. While we do not require reservations for any events at this time, without a day-use reservation, we cannot guarantee entrance into the park to attend this event. Reservations can be made online.
