Description:

Discover the natural and cultural history of beautiful Honey Creek State Natural Area.

All Honey Creek hikes through the end of April have been canceled. We hope to resume starting in May, but please check here for updates.

Join us for a guided walk to the beautiful Honey Creek to learn about both the natural and cultural history of the area. This 2.5-hour hike begins at the Rust House inside the park.

This hike is held on the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th Sunday of the month.

This hike is free with park admission of $7 per person 13 and over (free with a current TPWD Park Pass). We ask for a suggested donation of $2 per person to the Friends Group. If it is raining call the park at (830) 438-2656 for hike status. Cameras are welcome, binoculars encouraged.

We advise everyone to wear long pants and close-toed shoes to deal with rocky trails and tall vegetation. Be sure to bring water and a hat for this two-plus mile hike. No pets are allowed in Honey Creek SNA, including on the hike.

**Save the date! Reserve your spot online ahead of time to guarantee your entrance to the park -- even if it closes for capacity. You can do this up to 30 days in advance with your credit card, or for free with your Annual Texas State Parks pass: https://texasstateparks.reserveamerica.com/
